TRADE: Object Tracking with 3D Trajectory and Ground Depth Estimates for UAVs
This first video shows TRADE working on several dynamic sequences with high terrain relief. These were simulated using Unreal Engine 4.
TRADE avoids target switching between similar objects by leveraging 3D trajectory prediction. For that, we propose a novel 3D localization method for 3D dynamic ground objects that reasons about the scene geometry. This next video shows our real UAV experiments, where TRADE was deployed on a UAV with a Thermal camera for autonomous target following.
